KASU Students Week

Students week is usually celebrated the whole days of the week, full of fun activities ranging from Secondary School Uniform Day, Cultural Day, Durbar, Rag Day and Jersey Day. It is a week celebrated by 400 level students, who are ready to take part in the fun activities. 

This year, students went extra crazy in the celeberation especially the Rag Day. Some students went purely crazy, laying down on refuse in the name of celebrating the week. Some dressed as if there were physically and psychologically mad.

On Monday 11th September 2018, there was rumour circulating in the school that, KASU Students Week may be canceled henceforth. And whether true or not, I do believe in the saying "there is no smoke without fire"

Some say that the week is worth celebrating, some say it has to be stopped. Even I, (a 200 level student), was almost persuaded to take part in the celebration only that, that day I have lecture on Online Communication. Hahaha

    But as for me, Students Week doesn't have to ne banned, but rather regulated.

    The students week was absolutely good and fun apart from the Rag day. The management of the school should next time be involve in terms of organizing the student week. The student week shouldn't be ban rather it should be restructured.

Nigeria's Independence Day

Nigeria became a British protectorate in 1901. Colonization lasted until 1960, when an independence movement succeeded in gaining Nigeria its independence. Nigeria  first became a republic in 1963. We are independent at 58 but not free until we: 1.Tell ourselves the truth all the time. 2.Refuse to be treated as objects but subjects 3. Refuse to be taken as electoral stock but national assets. 4. Counter the delusion of our emotions over reason.  Let us felicitate in the joy of being a part of this year’s independence. Let us rejoice and be glad in the fact that we are alive to witness this historic day yet again! Today, 1st October, Nigeria celebrates her 58 years of independence. Dukkan wadannan ’yan wasa uku su na da kwallaye 22 kowanen su. Salah da Mane sun a buga wa Liverpool, yayin da Aubameyang na wasa a Arsenal. Wannan ne karo na farko da ’yan wasa uku suka yi kankankan a yawan cin kwallayen Premier, tun bayan gasar 1990/1989, inda Hosselbaink, Macheal Owen da Dwight Yorke suka yi kankankan. Sannan kuma wannan ne karon farko da Aubameyang da Mane suka taba cin kyautar. Salah ya lashe ne a karo na biyu, domin gasar bara ma shi ne ya yi nasara, shi kadai.
